    Parkview Huntington Family YMCA is excited to announce the launch of Financial Peace University (FPU) class beginning Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. The nine-week course will continue on subsequent Wednesday evenings through June 4. Financial Peace University, created by renowned personal finance expert Dave Ramsey, has helped millions of individuals and families take control of their finances and achieve long-term financial success.

    This nine-week course, coordinated by Ramsey Solutions Master Trained Financial Coach, Cassie Shebloski of Roanoke, provides participants with practical tools and strategies to manage their money, eliminate debt and build wealth. Through engaging video lessons, group discussions, and hands-on activities, attendees will learn how to create a budget, save for emergencies, and invest for the future.

    “Financial Peace University is more than just a class; it’s a life-changing experience,” said Dave Ramsey. “Our goal is to empower people with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed financial decisions and achieve financial freedom.”

    Classes will be held at Parkview Huntington Family YMCA, 1160 W 500 N, starting Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. Interested individuals can register online here or contact Cassie Shebloski at cassieshebloski2@gmail.com for more details. If the registration fee is a barrier for participation, contact Cassie as a local business will provide scholarship assistance for interested individuals to enroll.

    Alternately, if community members are interested in participating in a virtual class, participants will have the opportunity to view the videos independently and then meet with Cassie, over Zoom to discuss the questions and activities. The virtual option will meet via Zoom for the questions/activities at 12 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning April 16 through Wednesday June 11. Click here to register for the virtual classes.
