Wise Guys Downtown, your next destination

Wise Guys Downtown is a family-friendly establishment that serves delicious food and drink in Huntington. The restaurant is located at 435 Cherry Street and is owned and operated by Eli Gearhart and Garin Stephan, where Stephan serves as the main chef.

Wise Guys Downtown opened on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2023. Wise Guys Downtown today employees roughly 25 people where five are full-time.

“We focus on a family-friendly restaurant environment for everyone’s dining pleasure,” stated Stephan. “We look forward to serving all families and would also like to host parties of 25 to 30 individuals,” he said. He went on to explain, “We are looking to host corporate meetings through the week for businesses or groups of people that are looking for space to serve clients, and would like to have a meal included. Our venue is capable of hosting up to 75 people in the restaurant. We also have a pet-friendly patio.”

“We specialize in Italian food, but we also have fantastic wood-fired pizzas that are out of this world. We also prepare wonderful salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizza rolls, grinders, wings and more. All sandwiches are served with chips and homemade pickle spears or you can upgrade to fries or salad for an additional $2. Amazing desserts are also a specialty. We are known for our three-layer cake with cheese cake in the center layer,” stated Stephan.

According to Stephan, “Wise Guys Downtown has a special menu every other month where we go ‘unhinged’ and do something totally different. We will cater events and can host on-site at the restaurant, or go off-site to another location,” said Stephan. “If you are wanting a special luncheon or dinner for corporate functions, please call the restaurant in advance so we are able to accommodate your needs,” he said.

“We have a fully-functional bar to include 12 different beers and one root beer on tap. Wise Guys Downtown also have an extensive bourbon bar for the bourbon connoisseur. We also carry Italian wines, wine slushies and wine ice cream,” explained Stephan.

Wise Guys Downtown has a lunch and dinner special each week. They are only open for lunch on Thursday and Friday with the exception of times when a business or group of individuals reserve a time in advance. Dinner is Tuesday through Saturday, and the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. Reservations are suggested for Friday and Saturday. Soon to come to Wise Guys Downtown is their own food truck. Carry-outs are available, or you can order from Chow Now and your meal will be delivered by Grub Hub.
