West Park Tan joined the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce recently and held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, February 6. The business is owned by John and Amber McCammon and is located at 1320 W. Park Drive.
West Park Tan offers individuals wanting to get a tan or keep a tan all year long. The salon has installed new beds, bulbs, carpeting, paint and more. Enhancements continue at the salon where the McCammons want to install additional beds.
What stands out at West Park Tan is Red Light Therapy offered there. This type of bed uses very low levels of heat, and does not hurt or burn the skin. It is not the same type of light used in tanning booths, and it does not expose the skin to damaging UV rays.
According to the McCammons, “The Red Light Therapy helps with depression, anxiety, improves wound healing, reduces stretch marks, wrinkles, fine line and age spots. They also explained the therapy helps with psoriasis, rosacea and eczema. The Red Light Therapy is also used to improve hair growth, acne, side effects from chemotherapy, joint pain, inflammation, arthritis, improves and stimulates the immune system and more.
