The Amethyst Lotus is one of the newest members of the Huntington County Chamber of Commerce. The Amethyst Lotus opened at the 35 W. Market Street location in early January with their grand opening on Saturday, January 29. A celebratory ribbon cutting was held March 16.
According to owners, Skydawn Bickel and Lisa Brewer, “The Amethyst Lotus is a different sort of business.” They describe themselves as “yin and yang” because of how different they are, but they each agree that one could not have opened the business without the other.
The space offers a variety of ways for patrons to relax and “find their wellness” depending on what they are looking for. Bickel, an energy healing practitioner and Reiki master/teacher, offers meditation therapy, intuitive coaching, life coaching, sound therapy and other routes of treatment.
Customized facial treatments, eyelash extensions, massages and the use of a line of Osmosis products are offered at The Amethyst Lotus by Erin Baumgartner, an esthetician. Tre Sherman, a tattoo artist, is also part of the business.
A boutique within the business features books, teas, sage, crystals and other items for purchase. The Zen Den, designed by Brewer and Bickel at the back of the building, is a place for people to come in and just relax.
The Amethyst Lotus is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Individual practitioner hours are available by appointment.
