Insurance Management Group (IMG), an independent insurance agency headquartered in Marion, Indiana, with additional offices in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Elwood, has just been named as one of the Best Places to Work in Indiana for 2023. The statewide survey and awards program is designed to evaluate participating organizations and honor those with the highest levels of employee satisfaction and engagement in the workplace.

IMG’s mission is “protect and inspire our clients, co-workers and communities, one interaction at a time.” As a company that thrives on relationships, IMG looks at every interaction as an opportunity to pour into their clients, each other and the community as a whole.

This is a major achievement that IMG believes speaks volumes. “At IMG, we are committed to creating a workplace where our employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best work. Our company culture is built on a foundation of respect, trust, and collaboration, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels included and empowered to contribute their unique talents and perspectives,” says CEO, Trent Dailey.

Winning the Best Place to Work award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of a team who consistently go above and beyond.

By prioritizing employee satisfaction and engagement, providing competitive benefits, professional development opportunities and a supportive and positive work environment, they are proud to be recognized for their commitment to their employees and culture, and look forward to continuing to build on this success in the years to come.

IMG focuses on developing their employees professionally and personally. “We are like a family, and we’re constantly looking to help employees reach their fullest potential however that may be. Our agency believes that if your employees are happy at work, it will come to fruition in their interactions with clients. One thing we do for employees includes personal growth and development groups focusing on areas of growth such as finances, leadership, physical and mental health, and spiritual. These focus groups meet to learn and grow in these areas together,” says Dailey.

Because IMG understands that health and fitness directly correlates with employee productivity, satisfaction, and morale, IMG gives all employees 30 minutes of paid workout time every day. Employees have access to a fitness room, showers and outdoor space. Many employees will go on walks outside during the day together to mentally refresh themselves. “We’ve been known to have some spirited, friendly competitions with teams throughout the organization, as well,” said CSO, James Harness.

President and COO, Todd Dailey says, “The beauty of this award is that it goes to the entire IMG family. It is their hard work, dedication and hearts for each other that makes IMG one of the best places to work in Indiana.”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana. “We have many tremendous employers in the state, so it’s great to see more and more companies take part in this effort to evaluate their workplace cultures and gain the recognition they deserve,” says Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. “These companies consistently demonstrate to their employees how much they value their contributions.”

The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process, the Employer Assessment, was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process, the Employee Feedback Survey, was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Indiana, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings.

The final rankings will be announced at an awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, and then published in the Indiana Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine after the event.
