The Community Foundation of Huntington County announces its participation in a two-year pilot program with the Don Wood Foundation called “Ignite Your Future.”

Through this program, the Community Foundation is offering the following scholarships:
· Eight certificate and associate degree scholarships, up to $2,500 per applicant per year, renewable for up to two years.
· Two technical educator scholarships, up to $5,000 per educator per year.
· Three bachelor’s degree scholarships, up to $5,000 per applicant per year, renewable for up to two years.

The application for the certificate and associate degree scholarships opens today, Friday, March 1. The deadline for applications is Thursday, April 11. Applications can be submitted through our online scholarship portal. The Technical Educator scholarships are on the same time frame as the certificate and associate degree scholarship.

These scholarships can be applied toward training, educational and professional development. The bachelor’s degree scholarships will be awarded through our Community Scholarship Process this year and next. Scholarships are available to Huntington County residents attending accredited public and private nonprofit universities in Indiana, Ohio or Michigan.

Programs eligible for the associate degree and certificate scholarships include:
· Industrial Technology
· Machine Tool Technology
· Engineering Technology
· Technology Education or Technology Leadership
· Sales or Marketing
· Organizational Leadership
· Entrepreneurship
