Hospital hosting Check-Up Day events May 6, 17

Parkview Huntington Hospital and the Parkview Center for Healthy Living invite area residents in need of lab testing to sign up for Check-Up Day events at the hospital in May.

Check-Up Day makes it convenient to obtain common lab tests at a reduced cost. The event will take place from 7 to 9:30 a.m. in the Wellness Classrooms on two dates: Saturday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 17.

Wellness packages 

Participants may choose between two blood test packages. The Green Package includes a lipid profile and glycohemoglobin A1C for $50. In addition, participants can opt to add any of these tests onto the Green Package: comprehensive metabolic profile (CMP), $25; complete blood count (CBC), $15; thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), $30; and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) for men, $30.

The Diamond Package consists of the basic Green Package PLUS the CMP, CBC, TSH and PSA for a total cost of $115. Those who wish to purchase a Diamond Package without the PSA may do so for $100.

Individuals who choose either wellness package can also add any of three additional tests: iron, $15; vitamin B12, $25; and vitamin D, $40. Iron and B12 are new tests that were added to Check-Up Day for 2023.

Anyone selecting a wellness package should fast for 10 to 12 hours before their appointment. During fasting, it is OK to drink water to avoid dehydration and take regular medications as prescribed.

Single Tests

Apart from the wellness packages, three single tests are available: glycohemoglobin A1C, $30; TSH, $35; and PSA, $35. Fasting is not required for these single tests.

Participants must register for a Check-Up Day event in advance by calling 260-266-6500. Call soon as appointments fill quickly! Make sure to leave a voicemail if a Parkview Center for Healthy Living team member is unavailable to take your call. Payment must be made in advance by credit card only.

To access the Wellness Classrooms for either event, guests should use the main hospital entrance, turn right at the information desk, pass the Holly D. Sale Rehab and Wellness Center, and enter the first door in the hallway connecting the hospital to the Medical Office Building.
