Huntington County girls are invited to become contestants for the Little Miss and Junior Miss Heritage Days Pageant to be held Wednesday, June 11 at Crestview Middle School at 7 p.m. The pageant is open to girls ages five to 12, and is part of Huntington’s Heritage Days celebration.

Two divisions will be judged including Little Miss Heritage Days for girls, ages five to eight, and Junior Miss Heritage Days, ages nine to 12. Contestants will be judged in the following categories: Personality, 33% and poise, personality and overall confidence. A brief interview will be conducted with each contestant during the pageant. Modeling and Photogenic are also 33% each.

A mandatory orientation will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at Parkview Huntington Family YMCA. Pre-registration and information can be found here. A group photo for social media will be taken at the orientation.

A Junior Dance Clinic will be held Monday, June 9 at the YMCA at 6 p.m. The clinic is for contestants in the age nine to 12 division. Pageant rehearsal for all contestants is Tuesday, June 10, 6 p.m., Crestview Middle School.

There is a $30 entry fee which can be brought to the orientation or sent to: Little Miss Heritage Days, 10249 N 300 W, Huntington, IN 46750. Make checks payable to Little Miss Heritage Days. Girls may obtain sponsorships from businesses, family members or a combination of both. The deadline for payment is May 7, 2025. The community is invited to attend the Wednesday evening pageant. Tickets are $5 and children under age three may attend for free. Tickets will be sold at the rehearsal on June 10 and at the door the night of the pageant (as tickets last). The directors of the pageant are Dawne Pearson and Janelle Buzzard. The judges are not affiliated with the Little Miss Heritage Days committee and are selected from inside and outside Huntington County. The pageant committee consists of volunteers and they are not compensated for working with the pageant.
