Do you get excited by the idea of improving the quality of life and furthering the independence for adults who are older or living with disabilities? The Huntington County Council on Aging is seeking an innovative and resourceful executive director to rally community support to grow our services for seniors and expand the Huntington Area Transportation system (HAT).

The executive director will be a visionary leader who inspires others to engage with our mission. They will work closely with the board of directors to ensure that the organization is fulfilling its mission and serving its constituents effectively. The executive director will focus on developing new revenue opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, enhancing services, growing community partnerships, financial management and creating a positive work environment for staff.

Our ideal candidate will bring familiarity with non-profits and social services as a staff or board leader, a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (strongly preferred) or equivalent experience, and a track record of creating or growing programs and services in their prior positions. The executive director will be a strategic thinker who is able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning. They will have excellent communication skills and be motivated to represent our organization across the community to a variety of audiences.
